We now have TWO scholarships – one for a trade/vocational program, and one for a 4-year college/university (Herman D. Johnson Scholarship). The deadline for both scholarships is March 1, 2026.
Escambia River Electric Cooperative (EREC) will award scholarships to graduating seniors in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties whose parent or guardian is a member of the cooperative. For scholarship applications, seniors should check with their high school guidance counselors, download application below, stop by either EREC location or contact EREC’s Marketing and Communications at (850) 675-4521 or (800) 235-3848. Winners will be announced at the upcoming EREC’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 25, 2025.
HERMAN D. JOHNSON SCHOLARSHIP
Two $4,000 scholarships ($1,000 a year for 4 years) to a 4-year college. Students must maintain a grade-point average of 2.5 or higher.
