Message From the President – March 2025

Staying Connected

Ryan C. Campbell, P.E.

A busy spring is ahead at Escambia River Electric Cooperative (EREC).

As we move into March, Escambia River Electric Cooperative is busier than ever, preparing for an exciting few months ahead.

1 of the biggest events on our calendar is the 86th Annual Meeting on April 26 at Wallace K-8 School. This gathering is not just a tradition—it’s an opportunity for us to come together as a cooperative family, reflect on our progress, and look toward the future.

In addition to the annual meeting, we are proud to continue investing in the next generation.

This year, we will award scholarships to 4 outstanding students, helping them take the next steps in their educational journeys. We are also excited to host our second Lineman’s Camp for high school juniors and seniors, giving students a hands-on look at the skills and dedication it takes to power our communities.

Our commitment to education extends beyond scholarships and camps. We actively engage with local schools and look forward to participating in F.A.R.M. Day at Central School later this month. Events like these allow us to connect with students, share the importance of agriculture and electricity, and inspire the next generation of leaders in our community.

As always, we are grateful for the trust and support of our members. Your involvement strengthens our cooperation, and we look forward to seeing many of you at the Annual Meeting in April.

Thank you for being part of the EREC family.
