Hurricane Zeta Update
October 29, 2020, 1:30 pm – Line crews are making great progress on power restoration to the EREC distribution system following Hurricane Zeta. Immediately following the storm, 53% of the EREC membership was without power. At this time, more than half of those 6,126 outages have been restored.
We are following the proper steps in power restoration to bring the largest number of members back online in the shortest amount of time. All substations are now energized, and crews are working on main distribution lines and, in some areas, individual tap lines.
Work on our power system will not stop until every member’s electricity has been restored.
